Summer Program 2025
from $1,000.00

From the founders who "brought BMX to the Hamptons!"

Our Summer Program at Bikes, Boards + Books runs from 9:30 - 1:30pm; Monday - Thursday. Enroll by week (4 days), we offer 7-weeks of summer programming that focuses on QUALITY INSTRUCTION (June 16 - August 8). Space is VERY limited, as we specialize in small group instruction to build skill and confidence on bikes and skateboards.

(The first week of camp, week of 6/9, is a specialized small group learn-to-ride program; 12-3pm. It runs Monday - Friday.)

The BBB experience is led by former Lower School Learning Specialist at Packer Collegiate Institute, and a former BMX Pro. With an incredible team of instructors, kids will learn how to bike + skate in a state-of-the-art indoor facility, as well as in Brooklyn Bridge Park — just outside the shop doors! The indoor pump track will challenge and secure gross motor development, support self-regulation, celebrate risk-taking, and most importantly, build confidence. The experience of biking + skating offers an intensive physical therapy, in addition to being wildly FUN! More experienced riders will take local bike + skate field trips to Red Hook + DUMBO, along bike paths -- learning bike safety/awareness. In between biking and skating, kids will collaborate on projects with use of open-ended materials. Finally, there is a literacy component within the camp day: daily read alouds, discussions about books and characters (comprehension strategies to support engagement), and independent reading.

What’s needed: Helmet, sneakers, water bottle, lunch + snacks. Bikes, boards + books are supplied!

(Helmets, protective padding and skateboards can also be purchased at the Bikes, Boards + Books Pro Shop!)

Due to BBB’s limited enrollment, neither refunds nor make-up days can be given for absences, changes or withdrawals.
